Alpha JackClamp Review and Giveaway
JackClamp Woodworking Bar Clamp
Lowell Thomas Tool, Inc. recently sent me the new JackClamp to review and also giveaway to two lucky winners! The JackClamp is a new generation woodworking bar clamp that uses two parallel bars instead of one. The additional bar makes this new bar clamp extremely versatile and easy to use.
The JackClamp can be used in several ways. It can be used as a traditional clamp to clamp together multiple items for cutting, fastening, sanding and any situation requiring traditional clamps. It can also be used as a spreader, jack or hoist.
Quality Construction
I was very impressed with the quality and durability of the JackClamp. It’s quite obvious the minute you pick up the jacks as they are quite heavy and very stiff. Many of the jacks on the market today are fairly light and flexible but not the JackClamp.
Clamping Force
The JackClamp has really great clamping force that’s easy to apply with the grip handles. Once I clamped down a piece of wood on my steel table saw I wasn’t able to pry it loose. The effective clamping force is likely a result of the stiff bars and quality construction.
2nd Set Of Hands
One of the features that really caught my eye was using the JackClamp as a temporary support while installing upper kitchen cabinets. As you can see in the photo I positioned the JackClamp on the kitchen counter and used to to apply support to the front edge of an upper kitchen cabinet. This just shows how versatile the JackClamp can be.
Overall Thoughts
I must say I have a huge collection of bar clamps and I thought these clamps would just be one more of the same thing I already own. Boy was I wrong! As I said these are very well built clamps with some really cool features that allow you to clamp, lift and hoist in several different configurations. I think these are a great clamp to have in your shop and I also think you’ll see these in many shops to come!
Where To Buy JackClamp
If you’re interested in owning the new JackClamp then you can buy them directly from Lowell Thomas Tool, Inc. or from Amazon.

Thanks for the great giveaway, this would have come in handy dozens of times over the last 18 months… and probably dozens more in the next 18. My honeydo list never gets any shorter, no matter how many things I check off!
Nice — lends itself well to “thinking outside the box”, re using it as an adjustable prop in addition to all the slightly-more-obvious clamping tasks that come to mind. Also like the implied sturdy construction, the inherent stiffness of the double-bar approach. I have some shelving that needs to be re-attached to the wall with stronger bonds than the original installation used, and I would use this as a “prop” first.
my husband would love to win this
my hub is going to be building new entry way steps im sure he could use this :)
