Black & Decker Ratcheting ReadyWrench (Model #RRW100)

The folks at Black & Decker sent us their latest twist on the popular ReadyWrench (we did a ReadyWrench Review last year), the Ratcheting ReadyWrench. They have combined the convenience of the ReadyWrench with a ratcheting design so that so that you have 16 sockets in essence.

Key Features

  • Includes 16 of the most popular standard (SAE) and metric (MM) socket sizes
  • Color-coded socket sizes
  • Exclusive ratcheting action
  • Built to last
  • Lifetime Warranty

Our Thoughts

The Black & Decker Ratcheting ReadyWrench is a very versatile tool perfect for small tool boxes, household tasks and even the glove-box of your vehicle. While we would never suggest owning this tool over a full set of wrenches and sockets we do think it has a place for almost anyone.

Tools like this are great for keeping in your vehicle for emergency repairs, or in a small tool box in your office. The ability to have 16 different wrench sizes built into one small compact tool is huge.

The Ratcheting ReadyWrench is very easy to use. To change from tightening to loosening you simply rotate the orange colored ring (shown above) according to the arrows. The ratcheting action is smooth and similar to any socket set. The Ratcheting ReadyWrench is built from a heavy casting which feels rugged and durable.

Honestly there’s really nothing I would change about the Ratcheting ReadyWrench other than maybe the price tag. With an MSRP of $35 we think the price might keep some from buying it. Needless to say we think it’s a great tool and one worth having in our collection of tools.

If you’d like to buy one they are available at hardware stores, big box stores and online. We recommend you check out the price at Amazon at the following link: Black & Decker RRW100 Ratcheting ReadyWrench where it can be purchased for just under $25 with FREE shipping.
