Sump pumps can make the difference between a dry basement and a flooded basement when spring rains soak the ground around our homes. Submersible sump pumps don’t last forever so it’s really important to check them once or twice each year. If your submersible sump pump is corroded or not functioning properly it may be a good time to buy a new one.

Our first home was prone to spring time flooding so we had several sump pumps located around the perimeter of the basement. In order to be prepared I used to keep a back-up sump pump on hand in case one of them quit working.

If yo’ure looking to buy a new submersible sump pump then I recommend you check out the Wayne CDU980 3/4 HP Stainless Submersible Sump Pump which sells for $135 with FREE shipping from Amazon. This sump pump features:

  • 3/4 HP submersible sump pump designed for use in basements that frequently flood
  • Top suction strainer filters out debris
  • Long-lasting cast iron and stainless steel housing and fasteners
  • 1-1/2-inch NPT discharge for fast basement drainage
  • 3-year limited warranty
