Our Thoughts

Linesman Plier Comparison Channellock® 9.5 Inch 369 High Leverage Linemens Plier ReviewLinesman pliers (also called combination pliers) are a staple in every electrician’s tool bag. However, most do-it-yourselfer’s, carpenters and mechanics also keep a pair of these handy as they are always up for unusual tasks. I’ve had several pair of linesman pliers in my tool box for years and they are used often.

The Channellock® 9.5 Inch 369 High-Leverage Linemen’s Pliers offer additional cutting force due in large part to the extended handle length and improved leverage generated by moving the rivet closer to the cutter.

Linesman Plier Comparison of Cutting Head Channellock® 9.5 Inch 369 High Leverage Linemens Plier Review

As you can see in the photo above the new Channellock® 9.5 Inch 369 High-Leverage Linemen’s Pliers have much longer handles. In the other photo you can see that the rivet on the new plier is moved much closer to the cutting surfaces thus increasing leverage. One other feature worth pointing out is the larger and more aggressive and larger crimping device located at the crux of the handle side of the pliers joint.

These new pliers are very powerful. Cutting wire from the old pair to the new was like night and day. The large high-leverage pliers make short work of cutting wire and a very high crimping force for twisting wire pairs.

These pliers are a breeze to use and have the look and feel of a very well made tool. If you’re looking for a new pair of linesman pliers then I recommend you check these out. Another added bonus is the fact that Channellock pliers are made right here in the USA which is becoming harder and harder to say for many tool companies. Priced under $30 these pliers are a great value.
