Delta Premium Industrial Saw Blades

Delta Premium Industrial Saw BladesThe fine folks from Delta Machinery | Porter-Cable sent me some of their new Premium Saw Blades to use and review. In this article I’d like to introduce this new line of saw blades and all the features they offer. In a future article I will write a full product review after I have a chance to test these new Delta Premium Blades.

DELTA® Machinery has introduced a new line of premium full-kerf woodworking saw blades that feature practical blade enhancements as a result of proactive end-user research and insight. The enhancements include increased carbide teeth size, laser cut plates and laser cut expansion joints.

Carbide-Tipped Saw Blades

Delta Premium Saw BladesLarge C4 micro-grain carbide teeth are precision-ground with fine-grit diamond wheels so each tooth planes the wood for an exceptionally smooth finish. The new line of DELTA® premium saw blades includes a 50 percent increase in the size of the carbide for additional re-sharpenings, refined grinding geometries for improved cut, and reduced noise measures for a quieter cut.

Laser Cut Plate

DELTA premium woodworking saw blades are constructed from laser cut steel plate. Laser cutting enables blades to be manufactured to tight tolerances and allows plates to remain flat and stress free. Laser-cut slots enhance plate dampening and reduce blade vibration — resulting in smooth score-free cuts.

Extensive Saw Blade Selection

Delta offers an extensive selection of saw blades for any type of saw and a wide range of cutting materials. They offer a great saw blade selector that helps you determine the correct blade for your tool and project. The saw blade selector is really nice because it makes it much easier for DIY folks to buy the correct saw blade. Delta offers many different saw blade types including:

  • General Purpose
  • Fast Ripping
  • Finish Ripping
  • Combination
  • Fine Crosscuts
  • Ultra Fine Finish
  • Malamines
  • Crosscutting Plywood
  • Laminates
  • Solid Surface & Plastics
  • Non-Ferrous Metals
  • Dado Set

They also offer some great additional information that helps you select the correct blade. For more information check out: Glossary Of Saw Blades Terms, Saw Blade Tooth Geometries, Quick Reference Guide, and Full Kerf vs. Standard Kerf.

So be sure to come back and read my review when it’s posted.
