  11. Matthew says:

I don’t have a reciprocating saw at the moment, one of the few tools I don’t own. I’ve certainly been in situations where I’ve needed one, though. As for what I’d use the DEWALT 20V Max Reciprocating Saw for, I can’t even begin to imagine everything I would. But probably the first would be removing some rotten built in tool benches/cabinets in my garage I’m replacing. I think this would make short work of the removal.

aside from the usual home improvement uses I would take this tool to my favorite fishing rivers, streams, and lakes and help out the local beaver population by creating more access to spots for catch and release, except I do occasionally enjoy a bit of fish ‘n chips. It would also work great for those “betweeners” the branches too small for a chain saw and too large for my wife’s pruners, this for the 100+ trees and shrubs we have planted in our little oasis here in the desert.

  18. Marc says:

I would use the reciprocating saw for a myriad of tasks around the house, including cutting our some uneven studs our contractor put in the basement before we finish it ourselves.

  36. Jim Lioto says:

I’m very excited about the new 20V line of Dewalt tools. I usually wait for an existing tool to break before I buy a new one, which is probably why my Dewalt tools are at least five years old! I actually made a decision last year to switch to a competitors platform because they were lighter weight with better ergonomics with similar power. Boy, was that a mistake! I have since sold these tools to an employee, and am now in the process of adding tools from Dewalt’s 12V line to my arsenal. My job trailer is filled with a full compliment of Dewalt shop and cordless tools, and I can’t wait to start adding the 20V line and phasing out my 18V stuff. However, if I wait until the tools break, it’ll be a very long wait indeed.

I currently have the Dewalt corded Reciprocating saw. When I bought it, I didn’t think I would really ever use it. It has come in handly on several occasions. Had to do some plumbing repairs and it did a great job cutting away the old pipes then cutting the new pipes. Had to cut an acess hole in the wall and guess which tool I picked to do the job. A cordless saw would have made both jobs easier by not having to drag out extension cords to reach where I needed to work.

Since Santa Thought I needed a shirt and socks and gutchies for Christmas instead of a reciprocating saw for the new blades I won last fall, I surely could be persuaded to accept this fine tool ifn you was ta feel obliged to give it to me. I know of a few projects that could get done and some others that could be started ifn I was to say win one. But that would be up to you and DeWalt. Now I don’t want to persuade ya any, but, PLEASE!
