Ezy Hang Door Lifter

Ezy Hang Door LifterAn inventor recently sent me a cool new tool to try out. It’s the Ezy Hang Door Lifter which allows a single person to hang heavy solid core doors quickly and safely. Anyone that’s hung solid core doors knows that it’s hard enough to carry heavy doors but quite another task to level them in order to screw them to the hinges. That’s why the Ezy Hang Door Lifter is such a cool new tool.

The Ezy Hang Door Lifter has two independent lifting arms attached to levers that you can adjust with your feet. The levers can hold the entire weight of the door while you attach the door to the hinges. Also, because each lever is independent you can adjust the door from side to side for more flexibility.

Ezy Hang Door Lifter Holding Solid Birch DoorWe just used the Ezy Hang Door Lifter to install over 40 solid birch doors for a commercial project. In fact, some of the doors were 7 ft tall and 42 inches wide with glass in them! The Ezy Hang Door Lifter had no problem holding the weight of the doors as you can see in the adjacent photo.

The Ezy Hang Door Lifter certainly made a two man job into a one man job. Besides eliminating the need for two men, this product takes the strain off your back and makes it much safer and quicker to install heavy doors.

Your Ezy Door lifter looks very useful. Where can I find it?

You can do the same with a spade. Put the edge of the spade’s blade under the bottom edge of the door, then pressure with a foot on the shaft (handle) of the spade gently and accurately lifts the door.
I’ve hung many doors this way.
