Tech Support is polite and have sent replacement parts but DON’T BUY THIS!!! I have had nothing but problems. The first battery dishcharged way too soon. They sent me a 2nd battery. It won’t trim 3 football fields as promised. It only ran for 15 minutes. Then the charger started flashing (with both batteries). They sent a new charger. Got it and it was still flashing. They said there were known problems with the batteries and they should have sent battery instead of charger. Now of course the battery is not in stock for maybe 3 weeks!!! It has already been 3 weeks since I could trim my yard. Suggestion: BUY A DIFFERENT TRIMMER!!!

Purchased the 24V- 2 piece air combo on July 18, 2010. Received it a week later, used it one time and had multiple problems. The line continued to run out so I had to stop multiple times to pull out the string. So today (8/7/10) my second time using it……it won’t turn on. The battery has been on the charger for over a week and it’s dead!
Needless to say I am returning this piece of crap as soon as I can get someone on the phone, you can only speak to a live person during the weekends if you are making a purchase as the returns dept is open Monday thru Friday when most people are at work.

Purchased A Worx-GT on 5/26/2010 from Sears 1 battery and charger, used it on my small yard about 1 a week, worked fine, liked the lite weight and edging feature. 9/09/2010 the battery will no longer charge. Sears says I have to contact Worxs, Worxs says they can’t help me. cheapest new battery is half the price I paid for everything. Decided to throw it in the trash (don’t want to look at it any more)and buy a cordless locally with a good warrenty. My opinion don’t buy it.

Same prob here. bought a new 24v trimmer after retiring the old Nickel Metal 18v (that was better than this) but it worked for a few weeks just fine. Now I put it on the charger and it turns green in 5 minutes but only runs for about 30 seconds. pretty pissed seeing as how this cost over $150 bucks….

  5. GEORGE says:

I purchased the 24V lithium combo which included 2 batteries. Both batteries faild within 2 months and were replaced by Worx. now 3 months later the 2 replacement batteries went bad, 1 will flash red and the other when charged only works for 90 sec. That is 4 bad batteries going bad in less than 6 months.
    DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
I believe the flashing red light is caused if you are using the product and let it discharge the battery fully. If you notice reduced power stop the trimmer and recharge, don’t drain the battery fully. It would be nice if they tell us this.

    • Todd says:

George – Not to defend the product but it is true that when you drain a li-ion battery all the way you risk damaging it. I think the entire industry needs to help educate users of this little known fact. Also, some newer batteries are starting to use technology that will prevent this from happening. Is WORX replacing the batteries again?

  6. Chuck says:

I bought the trimmer/blower combo. The first battery worked twice then it would not charge again. I called that they were very nice,,,sent a new battery no questions asked. The second battery lasted a couple weeks longer then the first then would not charge. Too bad because with a good battery this would be good stuff.

Have had the worx gt 18v Ni-Cd combo pack for 2 years now. Its just as bad as the lithiums problems from what i have been reading!!! Ni-Cd batteries are terrible!!! I have 2 batteries that get a combined total of maybe 5 minutes of run time!!! Its sad i paid good money for the combo kit that their phone sales person talked me into!! Now it just sits there because the batteries are such poor quality!!! Its crap!!! Dont buy any of their products!!! Some one needs to look into a class action law suit against this company!!!

  8. David Fields says:

Same battery stuff with my work gt, on 4th battery, Where is the class action lawsuit. I want to join along with at least 1000000 other buyers. Why have we not heard more about this, and how come worx just keeps on selling them, with admitting or fixxing the problem.

  9. Vic says:

I’ve used 2 of these leafblowers around work since last fall and had my first problem last month. One of the 2 batteries will no longer charge. I’m trying to contact customer service but every time I try to get to their website I’m told my browser can’t connect. Anyone know if they closed down their site?
