This new concrete planer combines power with ease-of-use features, and features a new adjustable front roller and auxiliary base engineered for consistent planing depth and added stability.

10 AMP Motor with Soft Start Technology

The PC5001C has a Makita-built 10 AMP motor with soft start technology for smooth start-ups. The electronic speed control is engineered to maintain constant speed under load, and the electronic current limiter protects the motor from overloading. The dust bag is easily installed and removed, with a dust collecting vacuum port for cleaner operation. The PC5001C also includes removable dust shroud cap that allows the tool to plane in corners and against walls. The PC5001C features a front roller that adjusts to the planning dept, and an auxiliary base engineered for consistent planning depth and added stability.

Ease-of-Use Features

The PC5001C weighs 11.2 lbs. and is only 18-13/16” long with an ergonomic soft grip with large two-finger trigger switch with lock-on function for greater comfort, as well as a top handle for improved handling. The L.E.D. power light serves as a pilot light as well as an indicator of the anti-restart function.

Smooth Operation

The PC5001C is engineered to smooth concrete surfaces, level concrete seams, remove epoxy from concrete, and more.   1. This is an awesome tool! I’ve seen it used by the public works to bevel sidewalk sections that have heaved from winter frost. Very cost effective and viable solution to an otherwise expensive repair.
